THE HIT NEW GAME SHOW!!! "Generation : Love"

WARNING: Some of the images in this post are disturbing (However, I need to paint an extreme picture)  PLEASE USE DISCRETION

This culture is saturated in Vanity, Lust and Hate...
What if YOU had to choose which one would completely dominate our culture?
Pride, Lust, Vanity, Racism, Lying, Envy, Jealousy, Rape....
These are all things that are birthed out of one of these three things.

Now, it might be "cool" to follow the fads, trends and lifestyles of the world...
But... AT WHAT COST??

Our only answer is Jesus Christ.
He died for you and me...
To SAVE us from a world and life apart from Him.

Without Him... we see that our society has become nothing more than a vain, money hungry, manipulative, hateful, prideful and wicked place...
BUT... it's popular right??

Well, what if YOU had to pull the trigger that killed one of those kids? Or What if you were the lady whose daughter died from starving herself in order to be "beautiful"??

The Facade is SO transparent....

How will you look at Vanity, Lust and Hate?

If God...

If God were my air, I would take such deep breaths

That my soul would inflate with the essence of His Depth.

If God were a road, I would drive without a map,

Searching for the place where our destinations overlap.

If God was a language, I don’t think I’d ever speak,

I’d let my silence discern His complex intricacy.

If God were a poem, I’d devour every word,

Until His truth raced through my mind eradicating lies I’d heard.

If God were painting, I’d look past all the design,

Until I saw the substance that molded His character to mine.

If God were a song, I’d be the soundtrack of my life,

And the melodic harmony would free me from this culture’s strife.

If God were a movie, I would watch so intently

That my soul would be restored by the truth of His victory.

If God were a soap, I’d scrub my spirit everyday,

Until the world’s residue that once stained me was washed away.

If God were an apartment, I’d never terminate my lease,

I’d cling to every room until my knowledge in Christ was increased.

If God were a meal, I’d have the recipe memorized,

And I’d serve Him to everyone in order to dismantle satan’s lies.

If God were a car, I’d be a “ God, you take control” transmission,

I’d take my hands off the wheel and let Him lead me while I listen.

If God was my Father, I’d resemble Him in every way,

In my thoughts, actions, physicality and everything I say.

If God came to earth and was crucified on Calvary,

I’d dedicate my life to Him because death is what he paid for me.

WHO AM I??

Who am I?

A woman in the midst of an ignorant world,
allowing clueless others to determine my value.

Who am I?

A queen who had settled for a lower identity
in order to accommodate others' feelings.

Who am I?

A gift that has been placed on a shelf
instead of polished to shine and radiate.

Who am I?

A timeless jewel, daily ridiculed
for the scuff marks and cracks that embrace my structure.

Who am I?

God's heart that painfully beats due to
the unacceptance and insecurity brought to me by others.

Who am I?

A transparent soul waiting to be cleaned after
people left finger prints from invading the window of my heart.

Who am I?

A child, reaching up for the immediate comfort of the Father.

Who am I?

A woman in the midst of an unknowing generation,
choosing to allow God to determine her value, without the help of others.

PRAISE GOD that our value, worth or purpose does not truly come from anyone else but God. WE ARE valued by Christ and that alone should be enough.

What He did on the cross proves it! =)

Really??

So, today I decided to start a blog. I pray that through this blog, God would do WORK!

Well, today I just want to encourage my sisters.

I know that it can be so difficult to live in a society that dictates our appearance, mindset and self worth. I see millions of girls who don't know some simple truths about themselves that would completely dethrone anything that our society would come at them with. So, I'm about to give you some truth ladies. Please, soak it in, write it down and meditate on things.

1. GOD created you.
- This main point just doesn't seem to be enough for our culture. There is nothing you can do about how you were made (and you should feel that you need to change into to conform yourself into something that will be more "beautiful" according to the world's standards.)

2. Physical beauty is NOT necessary to be valueable.
- So many women feel that if they are not physically "beautiful" according to what society deems beautiful, they are not valuable. THIS IS A LIE! True worth and value can only be implemented and established by the one who created you! NO ONE ELSE! It's all internal. Live a life where you desire to become a woman of virtue. Those qualities do not fade!

3. Your heart is FRAGILE!
- Women, the problem with the insecurity that comes along with this culture's impossible and unattainable standards is that it opens you up to giving your heart away prematurely. Dating someone to feel validated or loved will NOT make you feel validated or loved. Your heart will ultimately pay the price for the relationships you engage in before you are ready. If the guy you're with doesn't care about your heart or the establishment of your walk with God.... YOU WILL GET HURT!! So ladies, PLEASE GUARD YOUR HEARTS and love yourself enough to want God's best for you!

4. The way you dress MATTERS!!
- Believe me... the way you choose to dress can actually be a reflection of not only how you feel about yourself, but also the condition of your heart. Since men are very visual creatures, we as women need to be careful to present ourselves in a way that would allow them to maintain integrity around us. I know the culture says its "sexy" to wear certain things in order to get attention but is that really the type of attention you want?? Chances are, if a man is ONLY physically attracted to you, there will be very little God, a whole lot of flesh and NO SUBSTANCE within that relationship. Check the way you dress and have respect for yourself as a princess and daughter of God.

Ok ladies..... those are some real pearls... Please understand your worth in Christ. We don't need to conform to the ways of our society. We are beautiful simply because we are made and sustained in the image of Christ.

Captivated by my Maker,

Jo! =)
